I had to reinstall my connector and now am having problems connecting to the EXD server. >>>>>> Failed connecting to EXD: EXDSERVER Error: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized. >>>>>>> When I use IE -> https://exdserver:8273/EngyroXDv3/EngyroXDv3WS I am getting a security alert however if I accept the certificate I am able to display the page. I recall working with Engyro support on storing the certificate but unfortunately did not take good notes. Does anyone know the process for storing the certificate ? It was not straight forward in that you could not let IE determine the certificate store. Thanks
This is what is repeating in my epc.log >>>> 2008-04-30 16:52:03,000 INFO tor.EMInterface SendEMConfiguration - Failed connecting to EXD: EXDSERVER Error: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized. 2008-04-30 16:52:03,000 INFO tor.EMInterface SendEMConfiguration - Exiting sending configuration 2008-04-30 16:52:03,016 ERROR tor.EMInterface getNetworkCredentials - Error decoding password: Key not valid for use in specified state. >>>>>> "Roger" wrote: > I had to reinstall my connector and now am having problems connecting to the > EXD server. >>>>>> > Failed connecting to EXD: EXDSERVER Error: The request failed with HTTP > status 401: Unauthorized. > >>>>>>> > When I use IE -> https://exdserver:8273/EngyroXDv3/EngyroXDv3WS > I am getting a security alert however if I accept the certificate I am able > to display the page. The last message indicates that you are running the service as a different user than the one who did the installation. The web services user password is encrypted during installation, and only that user can decrypt it. Since the current service user cannot decrypt the password, it cannot successfully authenticate to the EXD. There are steps in the User's Guide to reset the wsuser password; if you run these while logged on as the service account user, it should be corrected.
