Some small but annoying bugs   

Hello,

I use Windows XP and I have found a few small problems.
If someone can fix them, he would make me really happy!
(And many other people of course !)

1. In the explorer when you choose "Sort Icons"-> "By type"
it literally sort them based on the icon (if I figured out correctly).
E.g. you may find *.cc files between *.cpp files etc.
Shouldn't it sort the files based on their extension ?

2. When you open an app, and minimize its window try the following:
While the window being minimized, right click on its button on the 
taskbar and choose Restore. Then click on its button again. At that
point, while the window should be minimize again, it doesn't.
I find this behaviour really annoying. And the window doesn't get
minimized no matter how many times you click its button !

3. If you use a tweaker to set a bitmap being displayed as a background
image for explorer's toolbar, sometimes it isn't drawn well (there are some
black unpainted areas). This sould apply for TweakUI too (I guess).

I have found more, but first tell me if there is any meaning posting these 
bugs
here. I mean, will anyone, ever, try to use these posts to fix the bugs ?
Am I wasting my time ?

I expect so. minor niggles like this very rarely get fixed until a 
Service pack or new OS version, even if reported to MS directly.
This however is not the place as it is for 3rd party developers to talk 
about the shell API itself.

You may want to try the official product support services.

(There is also the fact that XP is now over 5 years old...)

Yes you are right, XP is old by now !
And a correction: the 1st is now really a bug.
Just I would like to have a way to sort icons based on the file extension.

yours will go unto deaf ears!

for a file manager that properly sorts on extension, see xplorer2
(free lite version exists)
