My computer laughs. I got windows XP home edition. I tried looking for programs that would make noises like this but none was found. Updated virus program searched with for any viruses and nothing was found. I have a firewall installed. I have recently reinstalled windows and programs by formatting hardrive, and now that I have gotten everything back the problem still occurs. Does anyone know what would cause this random laughing sound? The laugh sounds also like a high pitch laugh. I am going nuts trying to figure out what this is, and have tried almost everything I could think of. Thanks everyone that takes their time to read my post. -- Brock

My computer cries. Every time I try to start my computer and bootup Windows it would cry and refuses to bootup. After months of software/hardware analysis I finally discovered what was causing my computer to cry, it turned out my computer has math anxiety. :-) Kellie.
Did you check what are your sound settings? Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Sounds tab Also: do you have any IM (instant Messaging) software installed? You don't tell WHEN you hear this sound. Is this when you read email? get an IM message? Opening a file or starting something? Laszlo Elteto SafeNet, Inc. "BR28" wrote: > My computer laughs. This does it even when nobody is at the computer. Yes I have checked the sounds and settings, nothing seems to be the problem. I have even formatted the hard drive and installed everything freshly, and it still does laugh. Now at night I just turn the volume way down so I cant hear laughing. I am trying out different spyware and other programs of that nature, but nothing seems to be finding anything. -- Brock "lelteto" wrote: > Did you check what are your sound settings? > Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Sounds tab > > Also: do you have any IM (instant Messaging) software installed? > > You don't tell WHEN you hear this sound.
