I am running Vista SP1 dual stack with an IPv6 ayiya tunnel from sixxs.net. Installed the aiccu command line utility, and the v901 tap virtual network driver. For some reason the Vista DNS service does not recognise my (non link-local) IPv6 address in my virtual network adapter (openvpn tap-Win32 v901) as being valid for enabling automatic "AAAA" IPv6 DNS lookups. As Per: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727035.aspx I am forced to "fake out" Vista into enabling "AAAA" lookups by setting a static IPv6 address on my physical network adapter of "2002:81a8:102::" (no default route). This is just a temporary workaround. What I really want to know is: Is this a Microsoft bug, or is this an openvpn/aiccu/sixxs bug ?
