Vista and portproxy, not remembering after reboot
Hi, i installed an ipv6 tunnel, and made a portproxy as my newsreader
does not understand ipv6. So ik made port 1118 to listen and forward the
traffic ( I use this command: netsh interface portproxy add v4tov6
listenport=1118 connectaddress=newszilla6.xs4all.nl connectport=119),
after i made the portproxy it works , and netstat- a shows port 1118 is
listening.

But after reboot there is no 1118 listening anymore, this makes
portproxy useless. Help, this is not nice, I have to use NT6Tunnel.exe
now instead of the nice portproxy feature, which works just fine in Xp.

Greetings,

Jelle Zwart

Is there anything stopping you from putting the command in a batch file, and
then putting a link to the batch file in your Startup folder?

Yes there is... it is not working, no open port 1118 after doing this.

Before antoher guestion comes....yes the firwall if off....but maybe
there is some not so straightforward setting that is frustrating me.

So then, check your batch file for mis-spellings, and run it using "cmd /k"
so as to keep the window on screen, so you can read any error messages.

good idea, but brings no solution, no error. I need someone who has
insight in portproxy and what is wrong.

I solved it, tx anyway

my problem was that i pointed newszilla6.xs4all.nl in my hosts file to
127.0.0.1. Now that i corrected this it works out. Call me stupid, but
Xp always allowed this, whereas Vista doesn't like it.
