My application uses GetIfTable() to get octet (I hope it is same as a byte) sent and recv. But the sent values are a little some 6000 bytes or so less and received values are 9000 bytes or so more than the sent/ recv values shown by 'Network Status' dialog box (dialog after double clicking on the network icon on the taskbar). Why is this so? I want the actual bytes recv/sent through my network adaptor, which of them is correct? Are octet same as bytes?
