Hello, I'm looking to the building of IP headers Does anybody know where to find information about "identification" field (which is used to uniquely identify an IP packet, without and with fragmentation) ? For examples, I would like to know which algoritm define its value...how to get it and to set back its value ? to reset counter ? Any URL pointer would be appreciated. Thanks jdx
The best I can offer, because RFC 791(http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc791.html) didn't describe deliberately that to check that with some sniffer: ethereal, netmon ...
