Read a .pst with MAPI/C++   

I am a Beginner in this .. I am sure some one must have asked this but
cudnt find it.. I want to read a .pst file using MAPI with c++ without
dependencies on outlook.. I am sure it is possible.. Any Sample Code
would be of great help .. Thanx..
