Rename message store provider   

Hi

How someone tell me how I would set about renaming a message store provider?

The store that I have can have multiple instances of itself installed and I 
need to be able to differentiate the various instances.

Updating the message stores table seems to be the way to go but I'm not sure 
how I'd set about doing this.
