DCOM access from NT4 domain to a Win2k3 domain
Hi All,

We have a DCOM client on one machine which belongs to a NT4 domain. This
DCOM client wants to access a DCOM server on a machine which belongs to a
Win2k3 domain. The client receives "Access denied" when it tries to connect
to DCOM server. Why?

We have :
- with dcomcfng on the Win2k3 server give access to everybody
- the two domain are configured to trust each other (firstly only the Win2k3
domain trusts the NT4 domain, but no more success)

And we get always "Access denied".

Have you an idea?

Didier

Re: DCOM access from NT4 domain to a Win2k3 domain
Can you give more details on the security settings of your Dcom server?

If you enable 'Audit logon events' in the local security policy on the
server, additional information about why access has been denied will be
written to the security event log.

/Johannes
