Is is possible to create a data source and data set based on xmla? I have the Microsoft xmla up and running with the samples on my Windows XP machine. I tryed in BIRT to create a new XML Data Source but I could not get it to work. Is there anyone that may help me out here (I am not a developer by thye way, so my knowledge in programming is limited). Cheers! -- jerics99 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via http://www.codecomments.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, it is possible to do this, if you create your own BIRT ODA Plugin based on XMLA. Unforunately this does require Java development knowledge. (Our company actually developed a connector for BIRT to retreive information from an OLAP cube using this customized XMLA plugin) BizTalk Utilities - Frustration free BizTalk Adapters http://www.topxml.com/biztalkutilities
