Possible to use xmla data source in Exclipse/BIRT?
Is is possible to create a data source and data set based on xmla? I
have the Microsoft xmla up and running with the samples on my Windows
XP machine. I tryed in BIRT to create a new XML Data Source but I could
not get it to work. Is there anyone that may help me out here (I am not
a developer by thye way, so my knowledge in programming is limited).

Cheers!

Currently BIRT 2.1.2 (Feb 2007) does not support a
data source and data set based on xmla.

However, it is possible to do this, if you create your own BIRT ODA Plugin based on XMLA. Unforunately this does require Java development knowledge. (Our company actually developed a connector for BIRT to retreive information from an OLAP cube using this customized XMLA plugin)
