MSF v3 and VSTS
Hello!

I have following questions according MSF and Visual Studio Team System:

1) Is the MSF v3 (old version) compatible with Visual Studio Team
System?
2) Is it possible in VSTS to test applications that aren't coded with
VS, but e.g. with Borland Delphi 7?
3) Does anybody know when whitepapers will be available to download?
4) How is it possible that whilest VSTS is already released, there are
no Whitepapers for MSF v4?
5) Where are alternative deeper informations about MSF v4 Agile
(because Whitepapers aren't actually there)?

Thanks, gwax

Re: MSF v3 and VSTS
1) Is the MSF v3 (old version) compatible with Visual Studio Team
System?

It's not completely compatible if you consider that MSF3.0 is really
just a framework, but VSTS allows a more detailed instantiation of
MSF4, and
a lot of development process tools. We use MSF3.0 within the PMO, but
are looking at VSTS - they are compatible enough to start with, and you

get the good concepts of MSF3.0 in the meantime.

2) Is it possible in VSTS to test applications that aren't coded with
VS, but e.g. with Borland Delphi 7?
Not out of the box. You could use it as an editor, but to compile you
would need to add some things in.

3) Does anybody know when whitepapers will be available to download?
Look at the
http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/showforum.aspx?forumid=63&siteid=1
site at Microsoft
as you will get more info there

4) How is it possible that whilest VSTS is already released, there are
no Whitepapers for MSF v4?

There is a process guidance which has all the info that the old
whitepapers did, and allows you
to navigate around it.

5) Where are alternative deeper informations about MSF v4 Agile
(because Whitepapers aren't actually there)?

Let me know if you find them, I guess they are waiting for books to be
published!
