Re: how to implement MSF(microsoft solutions framework) in SDLC?
Hi Das,
You may be looking a bit too deeply into this. MSF is a framework and
focusses on how you approach your project, the high level methodology,
the team structure, how to approach risk etc. You need to take the MSD
framework further and put the meat on the bones by creating the
detailed process steps and finishing off the templates etc.
There are no examples such as ASP.NET ones, as MSF is not a technical
solution to something. It's largely an approach and philosophy. You can
create a set of processes (ie your own methodology, created as your
circumstances need it, but using the proven approaches that MSF gives
you.
If you want something more technical, look at Team System. It's
basically what you are after, a tool based instantiation of MSF and
development processes, for developers (ie SDLC). MSF on it's own is a
project approach, and is not detailed enough to be an SDLC. You need to
create an SDLC that is influenced by MSF and your own needs, and have
MSF sit over the SDLC.
Good luck
