Re: Road Map for MSF
I found this to be a very practical exam. That is, it is not a matter of
memorising foundational principles, key concepts, and best practices, but
rather being able to apply all of the above. Most of the questions will
present you with a mini-scenario and you will need to apply MSF models and
disciplines to solve a problem or issue.
I would strongly advise anyone wanting to sit for this exam to attend course
1846 as per the preparation guide. In this course you take on one or more
team roles, and experience first hand some of the ways applying MSF can lead
a team towards building great software.
Having said that, I believe anyone who has worked through achieving a PMP is
likely to have internalised many of the key areas of MSF already - MSF is
very much an amalgam of best software development practice from around the
world.
