RE: Data Source Name Rules
Derek,

I tried Location_UserName_Test and also by removing _ but same error

Actually I checked the folowing link
http://www.devx.com/DevX/Article/21911

There are some rules described in this article regarding the DataSourceName

Data Source Name—The data source name will be the name of your custom data
source (E.g. Infusion.12345.Test). Data source names follow a three part
format that includes:
An arbitrary source (e.g. Infusion)—The source should usually be the name of
your company or application. For example, Axicom, MapPoint and NavTech are
the built in data sources.
Your MapPoint Web Service account ID (e.g. 12345)—The second part of the
data source name must always be your five digit account id. MapPoint uses
this part of the data source name to limit access to your particular Web
Service account.
An arbitrary string (e.g. Test)—The third component is an arbitrary string
that is usually tied to a geographic region. However, you can use any value
you wish.

I cannot find any such rule in the MapPoint documentation.

I am not sure what am i missing.

Thanks

RE: Data Source Name Rules
Hi,

Finally I uploaded the file. I logged in through the web site and tried to
create data source and it was in the form CompanyUserID.UserID. and I can
change the last part only. I did the same for the web service and it worked.
