Vista Home Premium system problem
I was invaded by a trojan - desktop hijacker which I have removed with
Spyware Doctor.

However, one of the things it did was to restrict my access to regedit.exe
telling me that "Registry editing has been diabled bt your administrator."

I have changed the security settingd for "regedit.exe" to ALLOW full
control. I have changed the ownership of the file to me as Administrator.
However, I cannot access the file no matter what I have tried.

Can anyone help???

RE: Vista Home Premium system problem
A late reply but I might suggest that you boot into safe mode....then retry
"regedit"
from there. Hoping this helps. Should it not a System restore to a date
prior to the time you ran Spyware Doctor will bring your system back to norms
however you
may again possibly find the trojan present in the refresh. My memory of
Spyware Doctor is that it also may have a rollback feature to explore.
Recommend you then use Microsoft Malware tool if needed available here >>
