i'm having problems trying to reinstall windows xp home, once i run the cd, it shows a message saying tha the version tha i have installed is newer than the version on the cd. and it doesn't allowd me to reinstall and the setup page doesn't appear when i restart the computer with the cd in. how do i just erase everything and install form zero?
Ok; First turn off your Computer, then turn it back on and out your XP CD in your cdrom and see if the cd will boot your sys, you will know this by looking at the bottom of your scren/Display and you will see somthing like boot from cd..... if you see this then push the "Enter" key and good luck.. Know if you don't then you'll have to change the settings in your BIOS and to do that you'll have to look at the info that came with your Computer...
