System restore problems
I recently re-inherited a Gateway PC from my daughter as she went to college.
It had user accounts for her, her mother and Visitor. In cleaning it up, I
set up an administrative account for myself, and deleted those accounts under
Control Panel. I scanned it for viruses with current versions of both Norton
and PCTools Spyware Doctor and Virus scanner. It was reported as clean.

Shortly thereafter the Windows XP Home program crashed. After looking over
the microsoft support site on my other PC, I found instructions on restoring
the registry files by copying them to a temporary file and copying them back
to their original location ... so far so good.

When I start the machine, Windows opens showing links to accounts for my
daughter and her mother, not mine.

Under the net user command, I get listings for my daughter, her mother,
Administrator, Guest, Visitor, and SUPPORT_388945a0.

Using the DIR command at C:\Documents and Settings I find Directories for
Administrator, Guest, Owner Visitor and My account. So, I have a director in
there somewhere. Any ideas on how to connect to it?

Thanks,
