I have a corrupted iPod and after several attempts at restoring it in iTunes which made no difference, I tried to format the partition in Windows Disk Management. It said it was formatting, but no progress was shown. After an hour I got fed up and unplugged the iPod - the progress suddenly showed and shot up to 100% then said that it failed. I've tried partition magic but even though the partition is now showing as RAW in Windows Disk Management, it doesn;t even appear in Part Mgc. FDISK doesn't support USB drives... The iPod doesn't even show up in Removable Storage in the Windows Management Console! Should I just bin it?
I have the exact same problem almost - I can't restore my ipod and it is not recognized by itunes "Steve" wrote: > I have a corrupted iPod and after several attempts at restoring it in iTunes > which made no difference, I tried to format the partition in Windows Disk > Management.
