No talkie PC
I find myself in a quandary: A few months ago I installed an HP printer. A
few days ago, I tried to burn a CD-R; that was the first time I'd tried to
burn a CD-R since the printer was installed. The writing process would not
complete, there was some kind of unknown error. After that, the printer
would not communicate (apparently) with the PC. I checked both devices out
with the device manager: both were working o.k. and there was no resource
conflicts. Rebooting fixes the printer problem but not the CD writer.

The printer uses the parallel port in bi-directional mode. OS is XP home
edition. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem and, if so, what was
done to correct it. TIA for your help. -Chris-
