My first load of MSIE7 didn't register. Now I cannot get either MSIE6 or the latest MSIE7 to load because they keep telling me that I should use the unload facility. I have been desperate enough to erase all mentions that I can find of MSIE from the Registry but to no avail. MSIE6 says that MSIE7 is present when I try to load MSIE6. Can anyone help, please?

Thank you for this information Mary. I had unearthed it myself but didn't get any joy from it. I fear that with all my meddling with the Registry that now a complete re-installation is the only answer. And as some program providers don't like to authorise more than a limited number of activatiions I forsee some favourites being abandoned. Why I wonder didn't Microsoft have a REPAIR function with WindowsXP Home? And now all is well. I erased all of the HISTORY of MS downloads and then re-installed WINDOWSXPhome as an UPGRADE. This time MSIE6 did register and so all of my software is there too. A problem in the 'upgrade' was that cpanel_p.chq couldn't be found. When the computer starts and at odd times while running I am told that there is an error loading msfeeds.dll.
