I have a wireless NIC on an XP Media center machine, it works fine. I can access the internet without any problems. I've installed a WIRED NIC, so I can do fast transfers to an XP pro machine. When I enable the WIRED NIC, the Wireless nic stops working. When I disable the WIRED NIC, the wireless nic STARTS working. The exact same problem occurs on my XP pro machine. Can someone tell me why the wireless NICS stop workign when I isntall Wired NICS< or how to enable both simultaneously ? thanks thanks
Try bridging. "Cappy2112" wrote in message news:E715C270-BB28-4D40-BC32-00D8A1DA4DA4@microsoft.com... > > I have a wireless NIC on an XP Media center machine, it works fine. Using different IP address/netmask defeats the purpose of dual-homed host. I don't know about bridging. options to look at/for: bridging (other poster's suggestion) interface metric
