cut off during downloads   

hello .. would appreciate inf on how to dissable internet idel time while 
downloading drivers ...please

i went to controle pnl.,.... internet and netw. conn. ,...through to the 
dial up ,...right click,.but when i click on 
properties........................ nothing happens,... i cannot get to the 
win. that would allow me to dissable idle time..... please please help..
