How do i fix a corrupt dll file without my win xp cd
I get this message (invalid boot ini) when i start up windows. And then it
goes to a new screen saying (Windows could not start because the following
file is missing or corrupt.
Windows root\system32\hal.dll.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.)

And it keeps restarting when i hit any key.
my question is, how can i fix this problem with back up cds or my windows xp
cd or any windows cd?

Apparently your issue isn't a new one. I Googled and found:
