I have files backed up using the old DOS "backup" command. How can I restore them using Vista or XP? Running Vista and XP must I create a DOS 6 virtual environment and then run the DOS 6 "restore" command? Thanks in Advance, Elliott

When I run the DOS 6 "restore" command and I get incorrect DOS version. I don't see a restore command for XP. "Jan M. Google links no longer lead to where I can find Sayver2. Also I'm trying to run this under the XP and or Vista command line not Win98 as Sayver2 was intended for. You would think Microsoft would have thought about people having packed back up files this when they decommissioned the DOS backup/restore executables. Thanks all so far. You probably need to install 98 in Virtual PC and then use the restore/backup commands. Adam
Thanks for the executable and the try. I may be able to get a copy of DOS or Win98 to use with sayver2. If anyone can point me to DOS 6.0/6.22 at a Microsoft web url (like they use to have on MSDN) I'd appreciate it.
