Windows 2000 Pro SP4 Fully updated shutdown problem
I have been running Windows 2000 Pro for a while now without any major
problems.

However, over the last couple of days I have been clicking "Shutdown" and
the process starts but then windows boots up again and the computer doesn't
turn off. 8(

I haven't done anything recently that would have caused this, but there was
an update a few days ago for .net framework and I'm wondering if hat may have
anything to do with it.

I have run virus scans and check disk, both of which have not give any
errors. Also ran Memtest just in case, again passed without errors.

Has anyone had any experience of this problem?

Regards,

Kevin.

RE: Windows 2000 Pro SP4 Fully updated shutdown problem
I had a problem like yours after I downloaded Win 2000 Pro SP3 I could open
IE but if I went to open up a window in IE it would reboot my computer. I had
to go back and delete each SP3 update 1 at a time until I found the update
that was causing the problem. Try deleteing the netframe update and see what
happens!!!
                                      Good Luck
