Msn and Verizon conflict
For several years I have had MSN Premium, provided as a free service by my
DSL provider, Verizon. This week I cancelled the telephone line my DSL was on
due to little use of the line other than the DSL. I then had the DSL added to
a different Verizon number. At once my MSN popped a box saying it was no
longer a valid subscription. I then subscribed to MSN Premium and paid for a
subscription.
Now the problem. I can log on to my main account/mail just fine. My other 7
e-mail accounts on MSN will log on and then tell me the subscription is
canceled and shut down. After 7 hours, over two days of speaking to both
Verizon tech reps and MSN reps I have enterd an endless circle. MSN states
Verizon must release or unlink the account before they can reinstate the
other users on my MSN. Verizon says all the links to MSN have been unlinked.
What I do not understand is, because these were all valid accounts, why MSN
can not let them run normally instead of stating the subscription is
cancelled. They must be, or have been, stored on the MSN processors?
The additional problem here is my MSN, after clicking the butterfly still
come up with the logo, MSN provided by Verizon. No, it is not, I bought a
paid subscription to MSN!! Thinking it maybe the previous Verizon software I
totally deleted MSN from the computer, downloaded the software directly from
MSN. Got a new butterfly , with no other accounts showing except the primary
one. The Butterfly opens with the same box MSN by Verizon and no seconday
accounts.
Now, I can create secondary accounts and they work. However where are my
e-mails, book marks etc from the original secondary accounts and why does
Verizon show as a sponser on the newly downloaded software which is a paid,
by me, subscription?? I am hesitant to create or use any secondary accounts
as they may just drop out since verizon no longer supports MSN.
I feel I will just drop MSN altogether if this can not be straightened out.
I have many business e-mails which are now lost. Not to mention many book
marks which I shall have to search the web to find again. I mean, why pay for
a system that works like this?
Can anyone offer any solutions here. The tech reps, in many cases, speak
poor english, another source of annoyance!

RE: Msn and Verizon conflict
I troubleshoot Nextel Blackberries for Sprint. MSN and AOL are 2 of the worst
e-mail clients you can use on a cell phone, nothing but problems and the free
version of MSN wont work on a Nextel Blackberrie in other words you have to
pay for the premium package that most of the time wont work either. Then its
like what you said, trying to understand what they are saying, forget it.
Most of them are in India because it is cheaper to pay them 4 or 5 dollars an
hour than 8 or 9 dollars an hour the company would have to pay someone here
in the States. The best thing you can do is get rid of MSN and find another
company.
