1/2 of laptop screen blank - Vista 'sleep' issue?
Several times in the past few months, the right half of my laptop screen
(Dell Inspiron 1500, Vista OS) has gone black, with an occasional colored
vertical bar or stripe. I have rebooted in the past and tried to run some
diagnostics; whatever I have done has ultimately fixed the problem. It has
happened again, and I can't get it out of its funk. I have also recently had
an error screen when I boot up telling me that the laptop can't identify the
battery, or some such message; perhaps it's related to the screen issue. Any
tips?
