Several times in the past few months, the right half of my laptop screen (Dell Inspiron 1500, Vista OS) has gone black, with an occasional colored vertical bar or stripe. I have rebooted in the past and tried to run some diagnostics; whatever I have done has ultimately fixed the problem. It has happened again, and I can't get it out of its funk. I have also recently had an error screen when I boot up telling me that the laptop can't identify the battery, or some such message; perhaps it's related to the screen issue. Any tips?
