Re: Need a driver installed for a PCI Device
In device manager, select Properties for the individual device, then select
Details.
In the Property dropdown, select Hardware Ids.
From this, you should get at least one of the following:
- vendor code
- device code
You can then use this on www.pcidatabase.com. In my case, vendor: 10DE and
device 0191 leads me to the nVidia G80 chip - which is what is sitting at
the heart of my 8800GTX graphics card. Beware that the PCI Database is not
sorted in numeric order. So you may need to use the "Find on this page"
option.
HTH...or at least gives you a starting point.
