We have a subscription to Microsoft Technet and we have a query concerning the licenses that we are given. We are aware that we only get 10 licenses per software (that we download from the download section on the technet site i.e. Office 2007), but we was wondering if we installed Office on a PC but then wiped that PC, then reinstalled it with XP/Vista and then reinstalled office with the same license as before, will this all count as one license or two separate license? Or is there a way we can reset the licenses?
I haven't exceeded my number of licenses to confirm this, but others in this group have indicated that in your scenario, it will count as two separate licensed installations. If you need to reset your license count, I believe you would have to contact MS Technet and discuss it with them.
