I downloaded the entire MSDN Library 2008 iso file (2GB!) and followed the instructions to mount it on a virtual drive, but Setup wouldn't run. Nearly all the files on the iso contain just 0x00 in every byte, including the msi file and all the cab files. Setup.exe looks like a normal program, but all it does is pop up a dos box and disappear. I thought the download might be corrupted, but I found two hash codes (MD5 & SHA-1) on TechNet that both exactly corresponded. It might be something to do with the fact that the iso contains just a UDF track, but I'm running Windows XP and InCD 5, so it shouldn't be a problem. Any ideas?
Hi Cholent, Daemon Tools will mount it for you: http://www.daemon-tools.cc It's free. Do a custom install and don't install the toolbar and search feature. Hi, If this is for the MSDN Library for Visual Studio 2008: SHA1:07e1fe2d82e6e16e02000b5619adc822ec3fa64a ISO/CRC:C263D8DA "Cholent" wrote in message news:316A6B23-3669-4FE1-BC0E-E0D94AA1D846@microsoft.com... > > > > Had exactly the same problem. You do not say - but you must "convert" the ISO image to a bootable CD an ISO image file cannot be "run". Maybe there's somewhere I can download the separate files?
Sorry, cancel that. I was mounting the old image!! Thanks v. much for all your help.
