Problem with IE 7 not highlighting accessed item in list RED   

We have a browser program that would highlight reports previously opened in 
red for IE6.  This does not work in IE7.  Example would be to select an item 
in a list and access it; then go back to the list and the item previously 
selected would display as RED.  Is there a setting in IE7 to allow this to 
work?
