Problems installing and running MSDN version of Office 2002 (or XP) on Vista Home Edition
I just bought a computer that come with Vista Home Edition installed
to replace a computer that crashed. (I was nable to find any with
XP.)

I legally own an older copy of the MSDN, about 2002 vintage.

I tried to install MS Office XP or 2002. The installation asked me
for the registration key, accepted the one I gave it from my MSDN disk
covers, and installed ok.

Or so I thought. When I tried to run MS Word, the system pops up an
error message about needing a registration key, which I type in, and
then it refuses to run saying I need to give it a correct key.

Does anyone have any idea about what is going on and how to fix this?

Thanks for any ideas or help.
