How to change code for Windows activation?
I am testing physical to virtual conversions and I have gotten pretty
far, but I have one problem that I don't know how to fix:

If I convert a physical machine to virtual and start it after all the
hardware repair stuff has been done, then it comes to a "you must
activate Windows XP" message and I seem unable to get past this.

In the process at first it tries to activate via the Internet, but
then it fails for some reason and I am getting the possibility to
change the registration key. So I enter my MSDN key for XP-Pro, but it
won't accept that either, which is strange because I have not yet used
up all my activations.

So my question is simply put:
How should I do in order to enter a valid key that it can activate?
The PC is not originally created with an MSDN key, it is a standard
version.
Do I have to hack something using Bart-PE or the like?
