Microsoft frameworks and tools for Sementic Web, Ontologies and RD
Hi
I would like to know if there are any Microsoft frameworks, tools or
libraries for developing Ontologies and Sementic webs using RDF.

Thank you

Please help me with this because we are currently about to start a project
using Semantic Web and Ontologies. Isn't there anyone who is working in this
area in Microsoft? Please give me the contact details so that I could contact
him asap. It took more than 10 days since my last post regarding this and
still there is no response.

Hi,

1. This is NOT a managed newsgroup, so you will not get official support
here.

2. Hardly anyone knows what a semantic web is.

3. Since it's based heavily on W3C and open standards, Microsoft is
perhaps not the best tools provider.

4. Meta data went out of fashion because of Google and anyway people are
too lazy to keep it up to date.

5. Microsoft do have ASP.NET, .NET based web services, and a .NET based
XML library, so you could build a semantic web with Microsoft's
technologies, but with LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) you'd get a free
and open source platform committed to open standards such as those
promoted by the W3C.
