2 sites I visit use WMP9 technology and specifically mono audio codecs 9.0 and 9.2. On both I receive streaming video w/o any audio. I am able to receive all other audio and stereo audio just not from the sites using the mono 9.0 and 9.2 codecs. Windows XP does not allow me to intsall either of these codecs. IS there a backward compatibility problem in WMP11? Yes I do have all the o/s and IE updates.
