My Office applications (2004 Teacher and Student edition) ceased to function when I inadvertantly stopped it installing an update. I reinstalled Office from the CD and everything seems to work fine except Entourage. I launch it and get an error message: "This identity cannot be opened with this version of Entourage" I have no idea what that means but am looking to recover my contacts and calendar data. Any help greatly appreciated! I'm on a Macbook with OSX Tiger.
I've moved one step closer in that I can now open the program. I moved the Office Identities folder out of the Office foler. but now I can't seem to recover any of my lost data. Is there any way I can recover my contacts, e-mails, and calendar entries? Select Help --> Check for Updates in any Office application. FYI, this newsgroup has been deprecated and replaced with microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage. Be sure to post any further questions in that group rather than this one. You'll have a lot more eyes seeing your messages there. Hope this helps! -- bill William M.
