Marking an entire thread as read?
I use Microsoft Entourage to read USENET messages.

Is there a way of marking a selected thread as read, preferably from the
keyboard? I wish to avoid expanding the thread to display all the multiple
headers?

If you select the thread header (with 'view in groups' turned on), then hit
cmd-T, that should mark the whole thread as read.

I just cannot find 'view in groups' in any menu or preference list. If I
could get something to work that way, it would be just what I am looking
for.

Entourage has something called custom arrangements. You'll find info here on
how to set up.

View menu; 'arrange by' > 'show in groups'

At this point I conclude that my version of Entourage is just to old. It is
10.1.6. I just do not see anything in the Entourage View window, grayed out
or otherwise, that looks like anything you are talking about.

This was a new feature added in Entourage 2004.
