Entourage for MAC
Big Problems. I ran the Database Utility to fix issues in the
database. It seemed to work OK and stated it fixed the inconsistances
and provided a backup of the file. On opening Entourage after this, I
was presented with a new file/page with none of the Rules, Mailing
Lists, Signatures or the Database that was there before the Utility
run. I have tried to open/import the old database, and the backup but
am unable to do so from within the App. Seemingly, I am unable to
access ANYthing from the original file. Any ideas anyone?

Try opening the your original identity directly with the database utility in
Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/.

If you can open it, rebuild the whole thing AGAIN.

Then check with the verify option.

I have found that I needed to rebuild the database "3 times", until
I got a functional database, as determined by the verifier.

So, then lesson is, NEVER assume that when the rebuild goes ok, that the
database is actually OK!!! And ALWAYS, do verification on the database after
The rebuild to be sure the database is actually ok.

You would think that the rebuild database function would automatically be
followed by a database verification. BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE.

Good luck,

Dean
