I've found there are settings in (MS Word 2003 for example) Office that can be very misleading. Is there a tool to completely uninstall Office (including hidden folders, registry keys, whatever) so that I can be guaranteed the new Office is installed with the defaults. Two simple examples of user settings in MS Word that were not found in the Normal.dot and were retained in Office 2003 after a successful Add/Remove | Remove session follow: 1) Table | Hide Gridlines 2) Draw | Grid | Display Gridlines On Screen Thanks.
Just run the unistall. Then Delete al files in the program files folder where office is installed Then delete the registry keys That should do it On 8/31/08 11:05 PM, in article 1342F3BA-5765-45E4-AACB-4CE9C5CE4E39@microsoft.com, "CO7924" wrote: > I've found there are settings in (MS Word 2003 for example) Office that can > be very misleading. > > Is there a tool to completely uninstall Office (including hidden folders, > registry keys, whatever) so that I can be guaranteed the new Office is > installed with the defaults. > > Two simple examples of user settings in MS Word that were not found in the > Normal.dot and were retained in Office 2003 after a successful > > Add/Remove | Remove session > > follow: > > 1) Table | Hide Gridlines > > 2) Draw | Grid | Display Gridlines On Screen > > > Thanks. > >
