Desperate for help on how to set up design galleries & placeholder copy on master
Hi,

I am trying to set up a set of PP master slides that I or a client can
access when they are doing a presentation.

The slides would be a title slide but also 3-4 other slides with different
color schemes.

As well, I need to set up a couple of areas on the masters as "placeholder"
text -- meaning where the typeface and style is pre-determined and they just
type in their text.

I do not see this addressed anywhere in the Help -- only how to access the
existing templates.

I am using Office 2004 for Mac.

I am very grateful for any help.

Hi Paul!

I suggest you ask your question in the
microsoft.public.mac.office.powerpoint newsgroup. I've copied my reply
there and also set the follow-up for this message to to there instead of
back here.

FYI, this newsgroup has been deprecated and replaced with
microsoft.public.mac.office. Be sure to post any further questions in
groups starting with microsoft.public.mac.office. You'll have a lot more
eyes seeing your messages in those locations.

Good luck!

But before a meaningful reply can be offered it's necessary to know what
version of PPt is involved - Masters are handled differently in most of the
current versions. Also, Masters alone may not be the complete solution, so
the differences in version need to be taken into consideration.
