Office Outlook - error message '0x8007000e'   

with narrative ' out of memory or system resources. close some windows or 
programs & try again'.
Using XP with Outlook 2007. Running fine until this message appeared - no 
access to email, either incoming or outgoing. Ran Office Diagnostics which 
reported no problems. No other programs running and plenty of space on 
Toshiba Qosmio laptop.
have read other discussion messages posted but no help. any advice 
gratefully received
