Office 2007 installation failure
I downloaded office 2007. When I try to run the install program it has the
status bar that says extracting files, at the completion of which I get a
message: "The installation of this package failed." I've restarted the
computer, re-downloaded the file, same problem each time. I'm currently
running Windows XP Pro 2002. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

I'm having the same problem. Anyone? Did you find the solution?

RE: Office 2007 installation failure
I'm also having the same problem. I'm installing from a disk which I've used
before to sucessfully install on other machines, so there's no problem with
the disk. I'm running a triple boot MacBook (Mac/Linux/Windows XP), it's a 64
bit machine... Might this be the problem? Any ideas much appreciated.

For those that still can't install and need similar software - should look
into OpenOffice. It's free to download and it's really quite good (does 95%
of what MS version does). It's just a shame to have paid for software and
then not use it.

Cheers
