Special characters
Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

This option does not come up in the edit menu. I am told to go to the "input menu." I can't find the input menu. Where is it hiding?

You can insert special characters through the Insert> Special characters
command.

Input menus describes the menu you get when you have more than one input
method (keyboard layout) and/or input tools selected in the System
Preferences Intrnational pane in the Input pane.
You can have the charcter palette selected and showing up in the menu.
This aplette allows you to insert (through a double click or drag and
drop) special characters in any application.
