.pst contacts
Hi, I'm sure this is a well-known problem. I recently changed jobs at short
notice and was only able to take with me my .pst contacts backups from
Outlook (XP) on a thumb drive. Now I'm using Entourage 2008 on a G4
Powerbook running 10.4.11 - how can I import the contacts without access to
a PC?

Thanks,

Campbell

Re: .pst contacts
Hi Campbell,

there's nothing you can do, really. See if any of the solutions mentioned on
this page are helpful:

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/import_export/pst.html>

If none of them are, you will need to find a PC with Outlook to open the PST
and export your contacts in a format that can be read by Entourage.

Re: .pst contacts
Thanks for your answer.

I can't tell you precisely how much that irritates me. Somewhere between
HEAPS and *!!$%####*^%.

Surely someone by now would have written software to convert a Microsoft
format for use in another Microsoft application.

Absolutely unbelievable that Microsoft hasn't done it.

That's Microsoft for you. They love to make things proprietary.

Would you prefer he gave you no way? We don't work for Microsoft and
volunteer our time to help. If you want to vent send Microsoft feedback.

Re: .pst contacts
Hi Diane, I appreciated the responses - the vent was not aimed at any of you
- I think you're all wonderful for helping out. Simply frustrated, that's
all.

Re: .pst contacts
That's understandable. We can all hope Microsoft gets the message for a
future release. It would certainly make our jobs easier helping new users.
