Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel Email Client: imap Occasionally when I mark items to be deleted in my IMAP account, the Purge Deleted Items option does not appear under the Edit Menu. If I click on a different IMAP folder and then click back on the folder that contains the marked items, the Option then appears and works. Any suggestions?

This is probably because your deleted items haven't had a chance to sync with the server yet. When you click out and then click back into the folder you're forcing a sync on the spot. You can either wait a little bit longer or continue what you're doing.
