Inserting Links/Scripts
Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I'm new to the Mac. I want to insert a URL into a message so that a word or words becomes a clickable link - something you can do in Outlook. On this forum, I found a script program (something with which I am completely unfamiliar) that apparently is the only way to accomplish this. Entourage apparently does not have this capability, which seems incredible to me.
The script I downloaded was called makehyperlinkssx_221. Two questions:

1. Is it true that Entourage does not allow you to insert hyperlinks?
2. If so, how do i make this script I downloaded work?

Thanks!

Read the directions that came with the script.

Yes, but you should know if you simply paste the URL into a message, the
URL will be a clickable URL when the recipient reads the message on the
other end.

Have you followed the installation directions in the ReadMe document yet?

E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my very hungry SPAM

Re: Inserting Links/Scripts
Hi, can you tell me how/where I can find this script? I'm also a bit new to Mac - but I'm loving it!

Many thanks.

Favorite Scripts to use with Entourage Part 2

<http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2008/07/favorite_scripts.html>

³Insert URLs into a message²

<http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2007/07/insert_urls_into_a_message.html>

You should start with #1 in the AppleScript series to learn how AppleScripts
work and how to assign shortcuts.

Cheers and Welcome to Mac! I have a few tips and links posted to help new
users here:
