Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop I am desperate! I am not sure what caused this but, as an Apple update was downloading and I was sending an Entourage e-mail......All of my DOCUMENTS including Quicken files disappeared! I have purchased File Salvage and it has not properly found everything. Because I am a new Mac user, nothing had yet been backed up to my WD wireless hard drive. I have called Apple and they said the update would not have caused that sort of problem. Microsoft said that their software would not have caused it either......I have spend several days on this problem and no resolve. The files seem to be on the hard drive, in various places. All my Entourage files and settings are gone also and are randomly all over the hard drive. How do I get them all back where they belong? I would appreciate any and all help. Marcia

Your problem is really outside the scope of help for Entourage but I'd first suggest you verify whether or not you're logged in under the correct user account. Check under Apple menu --> System Preferences... --> Accounts and see if you have more than one account listed. Are you sure you weren't logging in under a Guest Account? If so, then your data is gone. That account is for someone to temporarily share your computer but all files and preferences will be erased after logging out or restarting the computer. You might want to post your question in the Apple Discussions groups found at <http://discussions.apple.com>.
