Sorting tasks with multiple categories
Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

I use my task list extensively, and have several categories associated with each task. I have been unable to get these to display in alpha order (i.e., primary category, then secondary categories). It is OK alphabetizing the primary categories, but the secondary categories are imperfectly alphabetized.

What I'd really like is a hierarchical system, with top-level categories, second-level, etc. If I can go that it would be really great.

But for now I'd value a way just to get the tasks to print out in category order (primary-secondary).

Thanks, John

the problem is that categories are assigned in the order they are added
to an item. {Category A, Category B, Category C} is different to
{Category A, Category C, Category B}

I don't see any way to do what you want. Sorry.
