Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) I discovered this problem about a month ago but worked around it.. I forgot it was a problem until last night when I went to print out an assignment for uni (much to my horror) If I save a document (in any format- .docx or .doc) and then open it on a PC at uni to print (using office2008) - it magically removes spaces in between selected words. "kindalike this whichas you can imaginewas completely inconvenientat 9pmlast night" and the worst is it doesnt underline these "new" words with a red line... In addition to that problem these are also a number of other annoying things with word: 1. The auto-correct does not always work; and 2. The spell check regularly underlines words that are not mis-spelt (only removing the line if I right click). Do you think it is just a software flaw with my product? Can I return it?! Naomi
Have you updated the program? I believe that this known issue of missing spaces was fixed with one of the updates--Office should now be at 12.1.2. Run Help | Check for Updates at least twice, until it reports no updates. I have also seen your #2--but I've never seen #1, and I am a very heavy AutoCorrect user. gearna@officeformac.com wrote: > Version: 2008 > Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) > > I discovered this problem about a month ago but worked around it..
